Refreshing bubbles from Mas Bertran Viticultors


imagen1Mas Bertran is a small family owned operation based in Sant Marti Sarroca. Eva and Santi Ventura use the 3 local grapes, Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Parellada.

The wine is aged for a minimum for 16 months before release. A top organic cuvée 100% Xarel.lo will be launched by the end of 2009.
At the moment, they mostly sell in Spain and Japan, the Cava is selected by BMW for their VIP events.

-Their Vineyards: 2 ha of 65 years old Xarel.lo in organic viticulture & 2 ha of 18 years Parellada.
-The Cava is called Balma Brut nature.
-Production: 22 000 bottles
-Grape varieties: 42 % Xarel.lo, 28 % Macabeo. 30 % Parellada
